2010 October - Carl Slaughter, reviewer for Tangent, has awarded me the Science Fiction Showcase Award for my story, 'Graves'.
June 2010. After nearly two and a half months the decision is finally in and...I didn't make it. Congratulations to the winners, and with three more chances to win this year, perhaps I might yet return to California.
March 2010. I made the finalist list for the Writers of the Future, 1st quarter. I've done it before, but didn't make the cut. Instead, I was fortunate enough to be included as a Published Finalist in the XXI volume. I got all the perks, but no prize money. On the plus side, I get to re-enter the contest until I either win or become ineligible.
April 2010 - My friend and fellow Stopwatch Gang critiquing crew member, Brad Carson, has been nominated for an Aurora, Canada's premier Science fiction award. His story, "Here There Be Monsters" can be found in the anthology, Ages of Wonder, also nominated for an award.
